Japan Mobility Show 2025: Toyota Corolla concept

TOKYO: At Japan Mobility Show 2025, Toyota Motor Corp debuted a Corolla concept car with sleek and sporty aesthetics.

Toyota president and CEO Koji Sato said, "Regardless of its look or body type, it has always been the Corolla. That's why the Corolla has always been "a car for everyone."

"Whether it's a battery EV (electric vehicle), plug-in hybrid, hybrid, or internal combustion engine vehicle ― whatever the power source ― let's make good-looking cars that everyone will want to drive!."

"This car is packed with inventions aimed at making that a reality," he added.

An article by The Asahi Shimbun pointed out that at the Japan Mobility Show, which was rebranded from the Tokyo Motor Show in 2023, automakers present concept cars as prototypes for a commercial model that they may bring to the market in the future.

Underlying the Corolla concept car is Toyota’s “multi-pathway strategy.”

Toyota's multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality is about providing customers with a choice of sustainable solutions.

This strategy includes a full array of powertrains, from flex-fuel hybrids in South America to new fuel cell sedans in Japan.

In Europe, where battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sales are among the highest in the world, Toyota introduced three new production BEVs earlier in 2025, and will launch three more by 2026.
