DETROIT: The Jeep brand has introduced the 2025 Wagoneer Command Operations Vehicle (COV), its first model purpose-built for VIP protection, law enforcement and secure transport.
Developed together with federal, state and local agencies, the Wagoneer COV is now available to order through Stellantis US dealerships, with Canadian market details to follow for the 2026 model year.
Stellantis showcased the new COV at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, during a full-day fleet customer event attended by more than 200 participants, including Stellantis North America COO Antonio Filosa.
The demonstration featured off-road courses, dynamic ride-alongs and showcase displays of Stellantis’ ProMaster and Ram platforms.

Ryan Austin, Stellantis law enforcement programme manager, said the Wagoneer COV had already drawn strong interest from government bodies since its January 2025 reveal.
He noted the brand’s reputation for “rugged refinement” underpins its ambition for the new model to set the standard in secure VIP transportation nationwide.
The long-wheelbase and short-wheelbase variants both earned a Top Safety PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The COV’s easy-order upfit package encompasses a comprehensive lighting and electrical suite, including front and rear Whelen Inner Edge visor lightbars, quad T-ION grille lights, side lighting, rear upper window bars and an integrated siren speaker.

A Whelen CenCom Core multi-function siren system, custom wiring harness and dedicated power distribution centre support on-board cameras, computers, radios, radar, sirens, printers and modems. Multiple cargo and weapon storage configurations are also provided.
Under the bonnet sits a 420-horsepower twin-turbo Hurricane engine mated to a 240-amp alternator and Quadra-Lift air suspension with automatic rear load-levelling. The COV accelerates from 0–100kph in 6.3 seconds and tows up to 4,536 kg, the highest capacity in its class.
More than 130 safety and security systems are standard, including intersection collision assist, a 10-inch head-up display with night vision, 360-degree surround-view cameras, blind-spot and rear-cross-path detection, full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, active park-assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, active lane management, traffic-sign recognition, drowsy driver alerts and selectable tyre-fill assist.

The COV’s cabin seats eight in leather upholstery and features three-zone climate control. It offers best-in-class overall passenger volume, second- and third-row headroom and legroom, plus 3,706 litres of cargo space.
In-vehicle digital connectivity is extensive, with three years of Jeep Connect remote services, 10 years of safety and security features such as stolen vehicle assistance and recall alerts, and five years of vehicle performance reports.
Over-the-air updates ensure ongoing software enhancements.
