FUZHOU, China: Jetour's first premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) off-road model, the G700, has entered the Middle East market after recently rolling off the production line in Fuzhou, China.
Based on the UAE brochure, the G700 PHEV is fitted with a 2.0TD turbocharged engine that works in sync with two electric motors, producing 734PS and 795Nm of torque.
It can launch from 0 to 100kph in just 4.8 seconds.
With a 100-litre fuel tank and a 34.13kWh battery, and a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), it delivers a combined range of 1,100km.
It is armed with a full-time electric 4WD system that delivers intuitive traction control, and comes with features like tank turn, creep mode, and transparent chassis view.
The G700 offers 230mm of ground clearance and water-wading depth of 900mm.
In the UAE, three trims are offered - Standard, Comfort (adds upgrades like second-row electric seats, ambient lighting, and enhanced air-conditioning) and Luxury (adds Dolby
Atmos, auto parking, front and rear differential locks, and segment sunroof).
In the cockpit, there are an ultra-wide 35.4-inch digital instrument display, complemented by a 15.6-inch central touchscreen.
Rear passengers enjoy their own cinematic escape with a 17.3-inch screen in the Luxury trim.
Depending on trim, buyers can choose between 2+3 or 2+2+2 layouts.
Standard features include multiple airbags, ABS, ESP, TCS, and Autohold.
The top two trims offer Level 2 autonomous driving: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping, Lane Centering, Traffic Jam Assist, and Blind Spot Detection.
Jetour International president Ke Chuandeng emphasised that the G700 is significant for Jetour not only as its first premium hybrid off-road model, but also as a carrier of the brand's upward ambition.
