KUALA LUMPUR: Jetour Auto Malaysia has officially launched the T1, expanding its local SUV portfolio with a rugged-looking five-seater.
The T1 joins the recently introduced T2 in Jetour's Malaysian lineup, broadening the brand's SUV offering of conventional petrol-powered vehicles aimed at buyers seeking distinctive styling, generous equipment and the option of intelligent all-wheel drive.
The new model is offered in two variants of either front-wheel drive or intelligent all-wheel drive.

The T1 1.5 2WD is priced at RM129,800, while the flagship T1 2.0 XWD retails at RM146,800.
Both prices include a 7-year (150,000km) vehicle warranty, 10-year (1,000,000km) engine warranty, and 5 times free service.
The first 2,000 customers will also receive RM2,000 rebate and enjoy interest rate from 1.68%.

The base T1 has is a 1.5-litre TGDi turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 125kW (180hp) and 270Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels.
It rides on 18-inch wheels and is locally tested and is certified as EEV with fuel consumption at 6.8l/100km.
The top variant uses a 2.0-litre TGDi engine delivering 180kW (245hp) and 375Nm, and Jetour's XWD intelligent all-wheel-drive system.

The transmission is the same seven-speeder, and its official fuel consumption is 7.6l/100km.
In addition to Normal, Eco and Sport driving modes, the XWD system offers four terrain modes designed to improve traction of its 19-inch tyres on surfaces including snow, sand, mud and rocks.
Measuring 4,705mm long, 1,967mm wide and 1,840mm tall, with a 2,800mm wheelbase, the T1 offers a water wading depth of 600mm.
Its upright proportions are complemented by full-LED ‘Storm-Eye’ lighting giving the SUV a distinctive appearance inspired by traditional off-road vehicles while retaining modern styling cues.

Inside, both variants are equipped with leatherette upholstery, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless smartphone charger, panoramic view monitoring system, tyre pressure monitoring system and seven USB charging ports.
Other standard features are powered tailgate and acoustic windows with heat rejection all-around.
The 2WD features a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with voice assistant and an eight-speaker audio system.

The XWD variant has a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker Sony premium audio system, panoramic sunroof, welcome lamps, a memory driver's seat with welcome function and a powered front passenger seat complete with leg rest.
Safety is another key selling point and the T1 received a five-star Asean NCAP rating, scoring 87.67 points during testing conducted in December last year.
Both variants come with six airbags and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite comprising 14 active safety functions, including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Integrated Cruise Assist, Lane Assist Intervention, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Intelligent High Beam.
