KUALA LUMPUR: Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), a member of the DRB-Hicom Group, has launched the Kawasaki KLE500, its latest entry into Malaysia’s middleweight adventure motorcycle segment.
The unit is priced at RM32,900, excluding insurance and road tax.
The KLE500 is powered by a 451cc parallel-twin engine and features long-travel suspension, 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, selectable ABS, a three-position adjustable windshield and a 16-litre fuel tank.
In conjunction with the launch, Modenas is offering an exclusive promotion to the first 60 eligible customers.
Running from Aug 3 to 31 at authorised Kawasaki dealerships nationwide, the package includes a complimentary two-day, one-night Kawasaki Megatrail Fun Ride, limited-edition KLE500 adventure jersey, KLE500 Owner’s Certificate and KLE Adventure saddle bag.
The Megatrail Fun Ride will take place on Sept 26 at Dataran Amanjaya Lawin, Gerik, Perak, covering a 150km off-road route.
The fun ride includes meals, camping facilities, route guidance, motorcycle rescue, emergency medical assistance and designated fuelling checkpoints.
Participants will also stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes worth RM40,000, including a brand new Kawasaki motorcycle.
