KUALA LUMPUR: Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas) has introduced the all-new Kawasaki KLX 230S and KLX 230SM, expanding its dual-sport lineup for Malaysian riders.
The KLX 230S is powered by a 233cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed transmission.
With a 133kg lightweight design, long-travel suspension, and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, it is designed to handle both city roads and off-road trails.
The bike comes with a 7.5-litre fuel tank suitable for daily commutes and short out of the city
adventure.
The KLX 230SM, a supermoto variant, shares the same engine platform but is tuned for the street.
It comes with 17-inch wheels, road tyres and sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling and agile performance in urban settings.
"Whether exploring trails or seeking agility on the streets, these models offer freedom on every journey,” said Modenas chief executive officer Roslan Roskan.
Both motorcycles are available at all Kawasaki dealerships nationwide.
The KLX 230S is priced at RM23,000, while the KLX 230SM comes at RM23,600.
Prices exclude insurance, road tax and registration.
