Lamborghini Temerario HPEV arrives from RM1.35mil without duties and tax

PETALING JAYA: The stunning Lamborghini Temerario has arrived in Malaysia, available for booking with a base price of RM1.35mil before duties, taxes and personalisation.

The High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) is offered in two new dedicated colours of Blu Marinus (blue) and Verde Mercurius (green).

This is aside from the over 400 body colours and special liveries available through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme.

Touted as a new benchmark in the super sports car segment, the Temerario is said to deliver an outstanding performance from its advanced hybrid drivetrain.

Lamborghini Temerario - 03

Effectively the replacement of the Huracan, the Temerario comes with a mid-mounted 4.0-litre (3,995cc) twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can rev up to 10,000rpm.

Power has been rated at an impressive 800PS with 730Nm of torque.

This gets supplemented by a dual-electric motor setup mounted on the front axle and produces 220kW, giving the vehicle an all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability that also comes with torque vectoring too.

The combination brings the Temerario's output to a whopping 920PS and gets managed by an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing it to rocket from 0 to 100kph in 2.7 seconds to a top speed of 343kph.

Braking from 100kph to a full stop will require a neck straining 32m only thanks to its front 410mm and rear 390mm carbon ceramic brake discs that use front 10-piston and rear quad-piston aluminium callipers.

The front wheels are the 20-inch type with 255/35 specially developed Bridgestone Potenza tyres while the larger rear 21-inch wheels are fitted with wider 325/30.

The wheels are also available in three different designs and materials starting with cast type (three colours), forged (four colours) and even carbon.

The Temerario, weighing some 1,690kg (dry), uses aluminium for its body and frame while measuring in at a length of 4,706mm, width of 2,246mm and a height of 1,201mm and wheelbase of 2,658mm.

Carbon fibre for internal and external parts are available, such as the front splitter, mirror caps, side upper vents, rear diffuser, central tunnel, instrument cluster, air vents, door switch frame, steering wheel, steering column cover and gearshift.

An ‘Alleggerita’ (lightweight) package is also available for customers more oriented towards track driving.

The package reduces the car’s weight by 12.65kg through body components alone, with a reduction of over 25kg when incorporating lightweight interior elements and carbon wheels and helps to heighten its capabilities by adding 67% more aerodynamic load.

Meanwhile, the exterior gets further beautified by hexagonal daytime running lights (DRLs).

The hexagonal design language is carried throughout the vehicle which includes the side intakes, taillights and the main exhaust port.

The DRLs even incorporate an integrated radar sensor as well as an air tunnel as part of the design philosophy of incorporating lights within the aerodynamic concept.

Furthermore, air channels positioned just below the headlights improve the aero performance and cooling of the front brakes by as much as 50% for the callipers and 20% for the disc brakes over the Huracan EVO.

Lamborghini Temerario - 49

In terms of enhancements, the Temerario has been engineered to better manage its airflow with its rear downforce increased by 103% compared to the Huracan EVO and up to 158% with the Alleggerita Package.

The roof's central channel and integrated rear spoiler optimise airflow while the curved engine hood sides enhance aerodynamic performance.

Inside, the interior is touted to be a balance between digital and physical experiences with a combination of carbon, leather and Corsatex microfibre elements.

In addition, many interior elements can also be ordered in carbon fibre as an option, including parts of the centre console, air vents, door panels, parts of the dashboard, steering wheel and steering column.

Interior also features classic Lamborghini elements such as the aviation-inspired Start/Stop “Power button”, e-gear lever, and red ‘line-up’ indicator on the steering wheel.

Following the “Feel like a pilot” philosophy, thanks to the new generation dashboard, the pilot and co-pilot quickly become one with the new car.

More importantly, there's now more space within the cabin than its predecessor with the centre console allowing for a smartphone and a wallet.

The new spaceframe chassis concept also increased the headroom by 34mm and legroom by 46mm, as well as a 4.8-degree increase in visibility while accommodating 2-metre tall occupants wearing helmets.

Adding to the Temerario's practicality is a 112-litre front hood that will fit up to two cabin-sized trolley bags, while the rear of the front seats can accommodate other everyday items.

It also comes with 13 driving modes such as Citta, Strada, Sport, Corsa and Corsa Plus (ESC Off - electronic controls deactivated) as well as Launch Control.

Together with the hybrid system, three new dedicated driving modes also debut, including Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance.

The choice of driving mode is displayed on the driver’s 12.3-inch digital dashboard, where the animated graphics replicate the rotation of the selectors to make the selection immediately intuitive.

“Driven by an all-new twin turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, it delivers the highest level of performance and comfort for a peerless driving experience rooted in Italian automotive excellence from Sant’Agata Bolognes," said Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific region director Francesco Scardaoni.

"As a true Fuoriclasse (Outstanding in Italian), it empowers drivers of all skill levels to fully engage with its precision handling and emotional appeal,” he added.
