Leader EV Galaxy Charge enters EV charging scene

KUALA LUMPUR: Gentari, Jomcharge, ChargEV and ChargeSini are familiar names in the local EV charging scene. Here's a new one to add to the list.

Called Leader EV Galaxy Charge, it is introduced by Leader Energy Holding Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Leader EV Solutions Sdn Bhd.

Leader EV today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd to promote the new charging network.

Under the MoU, the BMW branding would be present in all Leader EV’s Galaxy Charge network along the North-South Highway in Malaysia and both parties would jointly hold campaigns to promote vehicle charging for brands represented by BMW at Leader EV’s Galaxy Charge network.

Leader Energy, together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, is an independent power producer.

Leader EV would be responsible for the development, installation, operation and maintenance of the Galaxy Charge network.

In addition, Leader EV would promote and create awareness on electric vehicle charging technology, while BMW would fulfil the access of public charging solutions via a subscription or members programme through Leader EV’s Galaxy Charge network.
