LONDON: The new Leapmotor B03 all-electric supermini offers a practical and agile B-segment hatchback that sets a new benchmark in the compact EV (electric vehicle) segment.
The B03 is set to go on sale in the UK from early 2027.
It delivers segment-leading interior space, flexible seating configurations, innovative storage solutions, and a modular boot design.
Powered by a 145kW (194hp) front-mounted electric motor producing 200Nm of torque, the front-wheel-drive B03 has a 53kWh battery and delivers up to 242 miles or 389km (WLTP) of range.
Meanwhile, 133kW DC rapid charging capability enables a 10-80% charge in just 21 minutes.

Leapmotor’s cutting-edge EV architecture also allows for V2L (Vehicle-To-Load) connection featuring a 230V output.
The B03’s short overhangs and turning circle of just 9.8 metres make for a very city-friendly car.
The front suspension is MacPherson independent, and the rear is a torsion beam arrangement.
The B03 is the second model to be built on the Leapmotor Compact Electric Platform, following the B03X crossover.
Compact dimensions of 4,175mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,550mm tall, and a wheelbase of 2,605mm, make the B03 the perfect size for urban excursions.
The two-tone roof enhances character, and the three-segment slimline LED headlamp signature and emoji-like rear lamps inject a sense of sophisticated fun.

The interior revolves around a Dual Screen Digital Hub, featuring a 14.6-inch central display that’s paired with a slim 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.
Oeko-Tex certified materials support a more sustainable approach.
The cabin features 30 storage spaces, and the innovative modular seating layout gives users ultimate flexibility:
- Fold-flat front passenger seat. Oversized equipment can be loaded without disassembly.
- Driver seatback reclines up to 149-degree, creating a more relaxed space when taking a break.
- ‘LeapFlex’ rear seat base that can be flipped up, freeing up 578mm of extra vertical space that’s ideal for items such as bicycles or taller items.
- Rear seatbacks fold flush with the floor.

Also, the B03 features a cleverly arranged Dual-Level Cargo Floor that comprises:
- Upper Position - with the rear seats folded, the flat load floor accommodates items up to 2.47 metre long.
- Lower Position - the lower floor setting unlocks additional underfloor storage, increasing cargo capacity while keeping all passenger seats available.
- Smart Floor Panel Storage - the removable floor panel can be stored away, freeing up the full height of the luggage compartment and allowing space for up to five carry-on suitcases.
- ‘Leap Box’ - offers an extra 90 litres of storage in a durable, easy-clean storage space hidden under the boot floor.
- 405 litres of capacity – generous space with the rear seats in place, which increases to 1,305 litres with the seats folded flat.
As standard, the B03 features a suite of 21 driver assistance systems that support Level-2 semi-autonomous driving.

Equipped with 14 sensors and cameras, these systems offer full dimensional perception architecture, eliminating the limitations of single sensors.
As a result, the B03 can predict various road hazards, including rear-end collisions, pedestrians and sudden lane changes of non-motor vehicles, and initiate warnings, braking and steering correction when needed.
In the UK, the B03 follows the brand’s clear and simple policy of offering a single, generously appointed trim level that ensures the highest level of specification as standard.
That means every car gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree parking camera, automatic air-conditioning, automatic LED headlights and taillights, auto wipers, and electrically operated heated and folding exterior mirrors.
The driver’s seat features six-way power adjustment, while both front seats and the steering wheel are heated.
Ambient lighting is also standard, as is the brand’s Oeko-Tex synthetic leather trim.
