Leapmotor B03X to arrive in Australia: Up to 382km WLTP


SYDNEY: The all-new Leapmotor B03X all-electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) is set to arrive in Australian dealerships in November.

Set to be Australia's most affordable all-electric SUV, it will be offered in two grades, Style and Design LR.

The range opens with the Style variant, featuring a 39.8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that delivers up to 292km WLTP driving range.

Standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, LEAP Pilot Level 2 driver assistance technology, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, Leap Flex Seats, a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines and Leapmotor Connected Services.


Stepping up to Design LR increases battery capacity to 53kWh and extends driving range to up to 382km WLTP.

Customers benefit from premium features including 18-inch alloy wheels, Oeko-Tex certified TechnoLeather seating, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 12-speaker surround audio system, multi-colour interior ambient lighting, front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system with integrated dashcam recorder.

The B03X Style is powered by a 130kW (177PS) electric motor producing 200Nm of torque, while the Design LR increases output to 145kW (197PS).

Both variants feature an 11kW onboard AC charger, DC fast-charging capability of up to 100kW on Style and 133kW on Design LR, with a 30 to 80 per cent recharge time of 16 minutes.

In addition, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality capable of supplying up to 3.3kW of power to external devices.


The Leapmotor B03X measures 4,270mm in length, 1,810mm in width and rides on a 2,605mm wheelbase.

It has 33 thoughtfully designed storage spaces, including a large centre console compartment, door pockets, multiple cupholders, and the versatile Leap Box rear storage compartment.

It also features the innovative rear Leap Flex Seats, designed to adapt to changing passenger and cargo requirements.

Combined with 60:40 split-fold rear seats, a Leap Box rear storage compartment and up to 1,315 litres of cargo capacity, the B03X delivers practicality well beyond its compact footprint.

The exterior adopts a contemporary SUV design, featuring LED lighting, semi-concealed door handles, roof rails and clean, aerodynamic surfacing.


Inside, the B03X centres around a 14.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen and 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.

Every B03X is equipped with seven airbags and a comprehensive suite of LEAP Pilot Level 2 driver assistance technologies.

Powered by advanced software and high-speed data processing, this sensing architecture supports 21 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) designed to enhance awareness, reduce driver workload and help mitigate potential hazards.

Standard safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with braking assistance, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Attention Monitoring systems.

Design LR further enhances safety and convenience with front parking sensors, side collision sensors, a 360-degree camera system and transparent chassis viewing technology.
