Leapmotor C10 gets new OTA updates for Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The Leapmotor C10 has received a significant over-the-air (OTA) software update that introduces new features which blend improved functionality, safety and user experience.

Titled as version LeapOS 3.40.32, the latest update is for 2024 and 2025 Leapmotor C10 models in Malaysia.

Improvements include the driving recorder getting a new feature where drivers can now use the built-in 360-degree camera to record the vehicle’s surroundings while on the road.

This new feature allows drivers to capture a complete view of their surroundings, with added modes for authorising continuous video loops and activating emergency recordings for enhanced peace of mind.

Also, there are upgraded Navigation Languages and Voice Command which now offers Malay as a language option for the navigation system, available for both on-screen display and audio broadcasts.

This enhancement is complemented by a new voice command feature, which enables drivers to search for songs and artists while on the road using the “Hi Leapmotor” function.

There is also optimised ADAS accessibility and controls where drivers can now access and customise the ADAS and driving modes via the updated steering wheel buttons.

On the safety front, the update brings improved driver distraction and fatigue monitoring, upgraded Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering Control (LCC) operability of up to 160kph, and refined cornering plus deceleration with the LCC and ACC in operation.

Meanwhile, to provide greater connectivity, the latest OS update now includes QDLink functionality, giving users the ability to seamlessly mirror their mobile device on the central infotainment display.

This integration allows direct access to key mobile applications such as streaming, navigation, and music.

The feature is available via a conventional wireless connection or through a data cable.

Additionally, the LeapOS 3.40.32 update refines the existing slope detection feature that automatically activates the front camera on inclines or declines to give drivers a clearer, blind-spot-free view.

This is complemented by an improved stationary holding ability on hilly terrains to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards.

To recap, the C10 has enhancements such as a 32-litre ‘frunk’ (front trunk) for extra storage and a boot tonneau cover to protect valuable cargo.

Additionally, it features an uprated 11kW on-board charger, replacing the 6.6kW unit to improve AC charging efficiency.

This reduces the 30%–80% charging time from six hours to just four hours.

Furthermore, a new Direct Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) providing real-time tyre data, and a motorised tyre inflator pump kit now come as standard.

Inside, the C10's upholstery palette has been updated.

The previous Midnight Aurora interior has been replaced with a new Black upholstery for models with Pearly White, Canopy Grey, and Tundra Grey exterior colors.

The Glazed Green exterior is now paired with an exclusive Camel Brown interior.

All seating materials continue to feature the premium, OEKO-Tex Standard 100® baby-friendly silicone textile.

Priced from RM125,000, the C10 offers D-segment features at a C-segment price point, and it comes with a comprehensive 6-year or 150,000km warranty, and a 8-year or 160,000km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
