ALOR SETAR: Lee Motors Auto Care, a BMW dealer in Kedah, has teamed up with Powerbee to offer new BMW electric vehicle (EV) customers a solar energy solution to charging up their cars.
The partnership aims to support new BMW electric vehicle owners with a more environmentally-friendly and sustainable journey.
Customers will enjoy a complimentary 4.5kWp rooftop solar PV system worth RM22,000 from the clean energy solutions provider Solarvest Group. Powerbee is a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarvest.
Powerbee offers EV charging solutions powered by 100% renewable energy.
With a 4.5kWp rooftop solar PV system, it is able to produce enough electricity for five full charges per month on the BMW i7, equivalent to a travelling distance of 3,125km, according to the Solarvest.
Present at the signing ceremony on the partnership were Lee Motors Auto Care director Jason Lee, its managing director Eugene Lee, Solarvest Holdings Bhd managing director Lim Chin Siu and its executive director Edmund Tan.
