WUHU, China: Lepas recently unveiled the Aura concept at the inaugural Lepas Global Elegant Lifestyle Week in Wuhu, China, marking the world premiere of the brand’s first concept car.
The Aura concept introduces the second evolution of the brand's distinctive Leopard Aesthetics design language, pairing stronger proportions and more expressive surfacing with a new design identity.
The concept retains the porcelain-inspired surfacing already seen in the Lepas L8 SUV (sport utility vehicle), using glossy sculpted volumes and fluid lines.
Lepas chief designer Ivan Dulanovic said, "In our philosophy, form and function are never two separate things. The Aura's stance follows the running leopard; it is lean, forward and efficient. The many air winds this car has guide the air through and over the car, helping to create downforce across the wide and powerful body of the car. The air itself helped shape this car, so to speak.”

The Aura concept's long wheelbase, short overhangs and wide stance give it a confident, grounded presence.
Meanwhile, pronounced shoulder lines, flowing surfaces and its dramatic Leopard-Eye headlamps draw on the controlled energy of a leopard.
“It is our interpretation of the leopard's power. It is not exaggerated and it is certainly not decorated, it is simply present. And that is how we imagine that strength looks when it doesn’t need to prove itself,” commented Ivan Dulanovic.
At the front, the Aura concept introduces a new face that will inspire the future of Lepas models.
The rounded grille and side intake areas are brought together into one clean black surface, creating a more cohesive and understated look.

Simultaneously, the Leopard-Eye light signature gives the car an unmistakable gaze from a distance.
Both elements are intended to create a stronger, more consistent family identity across future Lepas models.
Aura also explores how future Lepas customers could make that identity their own.
A digital canvas at the front of the car can carry adaptable graphics, lighting and animations, while an elliptical rear display opens up new opportunities for personalised taillight signatures.
“The customer could, in a way, become the designer of their own car. Technologies often dictate how the front end looks, but here we invite you to personalise it,” said Ivan Dulanovic.
