LONDON: Chery International has confirmed that Lepas will be the fourth brand joining its growing family of automotive marques in the UK.
Its identity is bolder, more imaginative, and packed with smart technology and thoughtful design.
Chery International, the largest exporter of cars from China for 23 years in a row, has created a huge success story in the UK market, responsible for not only the launch of Omoda UK in August 2024, Jaecoo UK in January 2025, but also Chery UK in summer 2025.
To date, the group is responsible for the fastest-ever rise from 0 to 5% market share that the UK market has seen, with a 5.3% group market share taking a mere 18 months.
Designed as a new energy vehicle (NEV) brand for the European market from the outset, Lepas balances efficiency, comfort, and advanced technology.
The Lepas launch plans were released under strict confidence during January’s group retailer conference for Omoda and Jaecoo, and Chery.
The UK team will reveal initial launch plans in the coming weeks, including full details of the first Lepas model scheduled to go on sale.
This phased introduction will outline leadership appointments, retailer plans, and the brand’s ambition to establish itself as a distinctive new presence in the UK market.
