KUALA LUMPUR: Lepas Malaysia has unveiled its network expansion strategy, ahead of an official market launch in the first half of 2026.
The Chinese auto marque said it will set up 20 sales and service outlets in Peninsular and East Malaysia, and aims to have 30 outlets by end-2026.
The dealer showrooms' locations will include Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Penang, Sarawak and Sabah.
Lepas will also introduce its signature Lifestyle Experience Centre in the Klang Valley.
The immersive space will allow customers to experience the "Preferred Brand for Elegant Mobility Life" through curated lifestyle zones and learn about Lepas Elegant Technology.
The Lepas model line-up, comprising the L4, L6 and L8 SUVs (sport utility vehicles), is built on Chery Group’s all-new global NEV (new energy vehicle) platform, engineered to accommodate diverse vehicle sizes and support multiple powertrain options, including internal combustion, hybrid and fully electric systems.
Lepas’ global foundation is backed by Chery Group’s R&D (research and development), engineering, and supply capabilities.
With Leopard Aesthetics as its design foundation, Exquisite Space as its product strength, and Elegant Driving at its core, Lepas aims to establish elegance as a global universal language.
“Designed for a generation that is confident, creative and connected, Lepas is built for individuals who seek balance in career, family and passion, and who expect their cars to reflect their personal aesthetic and lifestyle,” said Chery Corporate Malaysia executive vice president Men Lin Bo.
“As we prepare for our 2026 debut, our focus is to ensure every customer experiences the refined design and dependable technology that define Lepas. Our growing network marks the beginning of long-term commitment to the Malaysian market," added Men.
Lepas is rapidly building a strong global presence, with momentum building across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
