Liberty General Insurance wins award

KUALA LUMPUR: Liberty General Insurance Bhd has won the award for Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year – Malaysia at the Insurance Asia Awards 2025.

The product, InsureMyTesla, was recognised for its customer-centric approach specifically for Tesla vehicles, reflecting the future of local EV coverage.

According to Liberty General Insurance CEO Puneet Pasricha (Pasha), the award validates Liberty’s commitment to delivering customer-first solutions grounded in innovation and sustainability.

“Winning Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year for InsureMyTesla at this year’s Insurance Asia Awards is a proud milestone for us,” said Pasha.

“It reinforces our mission to make insurance more accessible, inclusive, and relevant for the fast-growing EV community in Malaysia.”

The comprehensive, fully digital package provides custom coverage for electric charger, alongside the essential protections like 24/7 unlimited mileage towing assistance in case of running out of power, key repairs and replacements, and warranty for workmanship on authorised repairs.

Since its launch, InsureMyTesla has raised awareness among current and prospective Tesla owners about the availability of a convenient, digital-first insurance solution for electric vehicles.

In turn, the Insurance Asia Awards recognised Liberty’s initiative for efficiently meeting the demands of Malaysia’s growing EV ecosystem.
