PETALING JAYA: Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of the Kia brand in Malaysia, has unveiled the locally assembled Kia Carnival 11-seater variant that is now available for booking with a selling price of RM213,888.
From Nov 1 to Dec 31, this variant will be offered at an introductory price of RM198,500 inclusive of accessories.
The 11-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is the third Kia model to be locally assembled at the Inokom Assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah.
The fourth-generation Carnival features a design evolution which builds on its predecessors’ heritage with a more architectural sense of solidity.
Its upgraded appearance draws on the overarching design ethos that connects all of Kia’s car identity.
The interior uses the design concept of “Spatial Talents” created by Kia’s design teams, which provides spacious, comfortable and futuristic environments for young families.
The driver and passengers will enjoy a high level of innovation, flexibility and style.
Like its predecessor, the Carnival boast significant levels of space for passengers in all rows with a greater sense of roominess, combined with a renewed sense of modernity and style.
Interior comes in Black and Gray leatherette finishing as standard.
The specification of the Carnival 11-seater remains unchanged, which includes front styling and LED daytime running lights (DRLs), Smart Power Sliding doors and Smart Power Liftgate, Smart key with one-button open/close functionality for rear sliding door and liftgate.
Other standard features include a 12.3-inch High-resolution LCD Touchscreen Infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, multi-Bluetooth connectivity and seven USB ports.
Its standard safety and advanced safety features include seven SRS airbags (Front & Passenger, Driver Knee, Side and Curtain), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Multi-Collision Brake Control (MCB), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points and Top Tethers as well as Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC).
The Carnival also comes equipped with Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
Powering the MPV is a 2.2-litre turbodiesel unit that delivers 199hp and 440Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, its eight-speed automatic transmission controlled by an electronic shifter (E-Shift), delivers a smooth and linear acceleration with a satisfying driving experience.
Available colours are Astra Blue, Snow White Pearl, Meteor Gray and Jet Black.
It comes with a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty with a coverage period of up to five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.

The 11-seater Carnival will be showcased at the Bermaz Auto Showcase event from Nov 1 to 5 at Centre Court, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur from 10am to 10pm.
