Since its global debut in 2002, the Sorento has been one of Kia’s best-known and best-selling vehicles globally, and this new iteration of the nameplate represents the pinnacle of Kia design and engineering in its SUV line-up.
The latest model has won multiple awards such as the Car and Driver 2022 Editors’ Choice award and 2021 Red Dot awards.
The new model retains the nameplate's robust, tough-looking aesthetic but gets a higher level of refinement, elegance and sportiness.
The Kia ‘tiger nose’ LED grille now displays a wider shape that wraps around the headlamps on each side.
The headlamps feature a new ‘tiger eyeline’ LED daytime running light, adding an extra focus which creates an intense impression like a tiger’s eye.
The proportions of the Sorento are designed to make it appear longer, with shorter front and rear overhangs and a longer wheelbase when compared to its predecessor.
The Sorento is also 10mm higher and its wheelbase is increased by 35mm to 2,815mm.
The Kia designers retained the characteristic wide D-pillar with substantial bodywork and clad wheel arches, while adopting certain design features from more recent Kia models that included a new dynamic shape C-pillar.
Inside, the SUV is enhanced with a sophisticated, next-generation design, blending metallic trims, leather upholstery and embossed wood-effect surfaces.
It also comes with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless smartphone charger, Bose surround sound system and a mood lighting system.
Also included is the 10.25-inch centre touchscreen infotainment display, while the 12.3-inch digital driver instrument cluster is available in the 2.5 petrol AWD and 2.2D diesel AWD variants.
