For bookings done up to June 30, on the road without insurance and sales tax prices for the A 35 and GLA 35 are RM325,090 and RM345,048 respectively.
From July 1, prices will be inclusive of sales tax and get bumped to RM343,888 for the A 35 and RM363,888 for the GLA 35.
As with the earlier fully imported A 35, the new A 35 and GLA 35 which are made in Pekan, Pahang, will get 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 306hp and a 400Nm of torque.
However, the new offerings will also be equipped with additional features such as Parking package with a 360-degree camera system, Head-up display and AMG steering buttons to enhance the driving experience.
A 35
Based on the regular A Class sedan, the A 35 features a twin louvre radiator grille, front splitter, front air intakes with flics, side aprons, rear diffuser and spoiler as well as large 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels
The A 35 is upholstered in optional Artico man-made leather or Dinamica microfibre black and highlights Aluminium AMG Design trim elements in black or silver.
The sporty interior continues with the AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in nappa leather, sports front seats that are electrically adjustable and Manufaktur seat belts in red, in line with the AMG personality.
The dashboard comes with the Widescreen Cockpit screen consisting of a 10.25-inch MBUX multimedia system and a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument display.
Other notable features include Burmester surround sound system accompanied with the latest communications module (LTE) for the use of Mercedes me connect services which is complemented by the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system.
Paired to a seven-speed AMG Speedshift DCT 7G transmission with 4Matic all-wheel drive system, the A 35 can launch to 100kph from standstill in 4.8 seconds and towards a top speed of 250kph.
Its Dynamic Select driving modes allow drivers to choose their preferred vehicle set-up, including that for the AMG Ride Control suspension, for the best driving experience.
Other features include Multibeam LED headlights, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Lane Tracking Package, Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Exit Warning Assist, Active Brake Assist, Keyless-Go Comfort-package, Hands-Free Access, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The A 35 is available in Polar White, Cosmos Black, Iridium Silver, Mountain Grey and Denim Blue.
GLA 35
The GLA 35 comes flaunting the signature Panamericana radiator grille with vertical louvres and the signature AMG front apron with front splitter and lateral louvres featuring silver chrome trim.
It also gets the larger 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in matte black with high-sheen rim finish and the door panels with inserts in silver chrome.
The interior presentation and dashboard layout are similar to the A 35 except the GLA 35 has generous headroom due to its taller roofline design.
Upholstery is in Artico or Dinamica black and trim elements this time are the carbon-structure-type.
The 2.0-litre turbo engine paired to an eight-speed AMG Speedshift DCT 8G transmission, delivers a 0-100kph sprint in 5.2 seconds as the GLA is a heavier vehicle.
Overall, key features are similar to the A 35 except GLA 35 drivers get a higher seating position and a more commanding view.
Unique to the GLA 35 are polished aluminium roof rails and surround lighting with projection of brand logo.
The GLA 35 is available in Polar White, Cosmos Black, Iridium Silver, Mountain Grey and Denim Blue.
