SHAH ALAM: Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance, has opened the order book for the new Cayenne, made exclusively for the Malaysian market.

Priced from RM599,999, buyers can enjoy a seamless purchase through a new digital platform at mycayenne.online.

Deliveries are scheduled by the end of the year and the first 250 owners who booked online will get matching painted vehicle keys based on their vehicle's exterior colour for added exclusivity.

The new performance SUV gets a new front end combined with more strongly arched wings, a new bonnet and appealing headlights that emphasise the vehicle’s width.

It also has upgrades to its chassis systems, innovative high-tech features, as well as a highly digitalised display and control concept.

The standard specification of the new Cayenne has been enhanced for Malaysia as optional features elsewhere in the world such as Adaptive Cruise Control, soft-close doors and the Sport Chrono Package come as standard in the locally assembled Cayenne.

Other standard features compared with its predecessor include Matrix LED headlights, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Power Steering Plus, 20-inch Cayenne Design wheels, front and rear Park Assist with Surround View, Bose Surround Sound System and a smartphone tray with inductive charging at up to 15 watts.

Available colours are Chromite Black Metallic, Carrara White Metallic and Quarzite Grey Metallic with black or black and Bordeaux red leather interior.

Inside, the new Cayenne also comes with 14-way electric comfort seats with a memory package as standard.

Headrests on the front seats are also embossed with the Porsche crest as standard for Malaysia, as are electric roll-up sun blinds for the rear windows.

For the first time, the redesigned cockpit has a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster with a curved and free-standing design, with variable display options.

The standard 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management (PCM) display integrates harmoniously into the new dashboard and provides access to all the relevant vehicle functions.

The new Porsche Driver Experience, first introduced in the Porsche Taycan, focuses instrumentation on the driver's axis and optimises operation.

The new Cayenne also gets an air quality system as standard where the vehicle uses predictive navigation data to detect approaching tunnel entrances and automatically activates air recirculation.

Its new adaptive air suspension with 2-chamber and 2-valve technology improves the driving experience with a soft characteristic, stabilises the vehicle further and simplifies on-road and off-road handling compared to both the standard suspension and the predecessor model.

The new Cayenne boasts an output of 353PS and 500Nm of torque with a top speed of 248kph.

While standard alloy wheels are the 20-inch type, buyers can upgrade to the 21-inch Cayenne Exclusive Design wheels and 22-inch Sport Design wheels.

The rear seat entertainment system is optional but buyers can heighten the ownership experience through Tequipment accessories.

Sime Darby Auto Performance chief executive officer Christopher Hunter said the Cayenne is one of the leading luxury SUV models in Malaysia.

“With one of the most extensive product upgrades in the history of Porsche, we look forward to fulfilling even more sports car dreams in Malaysia while providing the best in quality, performance, and overall driving experience with the new locally-assembled Cayenne,” he said.
