It also comes with electronic stability programme with traction control, three driving modes (drive, sport, race), tyre pressure monitoring system, five-speaker sound system with Alpine touchscreen head unit and reverse camera.

According to Group Lotus PLC chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Lotus Cars Malaysia aims to break even or perhaps make a profit this year.

He said Lotus sold 2,000 units of its variants worldwide last year, and expects to at least maintain its sales figures this year.

Its sales last year put it second in the supercar segment in the region and 12th globally.

"Lotus was in a bad shape since DRB-Hicom, the parent group of Proton Holdings, acquired the company, but last year it generated its best sales performance," Bernama quoted him as saying at the Evora 400 launch.
