CYBERJAYA: The Malaysia automotive, Robotics and loT Institute (MARii) and Developers Hub Sdn Bhd are working together to form an online hub for the local technology community, where they can develop solutions and applications for future industries such as autonomous driving.

MARii chief executive officer Datuk Madani Sahari said the DEVhub Prime portal will benefit more than 3,600 local technology developers, as well as opening doors for individual coders.

"There are a lot of talented coders who do not have proper certification but have amazing skills.

"We want them to enhance their skills through this platform, and our role is to channel them towards projects," he told a press conference after signing the memorandum of understanding on the collaboration here today.

Madani added that the online portal operates on a matchmaking algorithm, using Big Data analytics and artificial intelligence to match the developer talent pool to specific projects within the technology industry.

It will also feature a rating system based on skill sets, work experience and performance of potential partners.

"The backbone of digital technology is the software, which is developed by programmers.

"Through the use of Industry 4.0 technology to provide an on-demand hub, DEVhub Prime will provide the best path for the local tech developers to grow, enhance and gain experience with the right company," he said.

Madani added that the second phase of the collaboration would involve setting up an academy for coders to sharpen their skills.

"Future technologies such as autonomous driving, mobility-as-a-service and smart manufacturing will see an increase in demand for skills that includes coding, AI, machine learning, cyber security, BDA and many more.

"A centralised portal to source specific talent is of strategic importance to facilitate the development of technology projects and optimise human resource utilisation," he said.

Developers Hub co-founder Hasrimy M. Hasan said the company would help coders to get jobs best suited for them in various industries through the partnership with MARii.
