ROME: A prototype Maserati GranTurismo Folgore Full-Electric coupé has taken to the streets here for the first time.

For the Rome E-Prix 2022, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares rode the prototype car to the Eternal City's Formula E circuit.

The new GranTurismo will be the first model in Maserati history to adopt 100% electric solutions.

Made at the Mirafiori production hub, it will debut on the market in 2023. It will offer the characteristic Maserati sound as well as cutting-edge technical solutions, high performance, comfort and elegance.

The GranTurismo Folgore will come with an 800-volt battery to deliver more than 1,200hp to all four wheels. The 0-100kph sprint could be completed in less than 3s. Speed could top 305kph.
