MODENA: Maserati's "Project24" track car finally has a name. It's called MCXtrema, to encapsulate all the disruptive force of a 730-hp racing car – with no type approval to be driven on the road.
The name is reminiscence of the MC20 base model amd also pays homage to the legacy of Maserati Corse, along with the concept of the extreme.
Only 62 vehicles will be produced worldwide and are already sold out.
It's aimed at gentleman drivers and racing enthusiasts, who seek to push th envelope of extreme racing on tracks around the world.
The MCXtrema will make its global debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, taking place on Aug 18 during the Monterey Car Week 2023 in California, United States.
