McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt to step down
By CARSIFU | 28 October 2021
LONDON: Mike Flewitt is to step down after eight years at the helm of McLaren Automotive.
An executive search has begun to identify Flewitt’s successor.
In the meantime, McLaren Group non-executive director Michael Macht will assume responsibility for all technical and operational functions while sales, marketing and PR will report into Paul Walsh.
Flewitt joined McLaren as chief operating officer in June 2012 and became chief executive officer in July 2013.
Since that time, he has led McLaren Automotive to become one of the world’s leading luxury supercar brands, expanding the company’s product offering to include the limited production Ultimate range of McLaren hypercars, the award-winning McLaren GT and the all-new high-performance hybrid McLaren Artura.
