AFFALTERBACH: The new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4Matic+ offers 500kW (680hp) of peak power and acceleration from 0 to 100kph in 2.7 seconds.
Behind this surge in performance are three axial flux motors: two on the rear axle and one on the front axle.
With the groundbreaking electric motors that made their production debut in the new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑door Coupé, Mercedes‑AMG is now bringing a top-of-the-range technological concept to the CLA.
Thanks to fully variable all-wheel drive, adaptive suspension and active aerodynamics, this compact sports car channels this unbridled power directly onto the road.
The new Mercedes‑AMG CLA 45 4Matic+ will be available in two versions: as a saloon and as a Shooting Brake.
As a first in its class and a unique selling point, the active rear spoiler on the saloon and the roof-edge spoiler on the Shooting Brake optimise the aero balance and, consequently, the vehicle’s efficiency and dynamism.
The fully variable all-wheel drive system distributes power continuously to the road via three independently controlled electric motors.
With AMG Ride Control – you choose, the suspension adapts: “Comfort”, “Sport” or “AMGFORCE S+”.
With adaptive damping, you can determine the setup of your suspension yourself. What’s more, the damping force on each wheel adapts to the driving situation in milliseconds.
In the AMGFORCE S+ driving mode, the Mercedes‑AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ delivers an authentic, AMG typical combustion engine experience with the characteristic sound of a high-performance AMG four-cylinder engine.

AMG Track Pace turns every visit to the racetrack into a professional training session.
To do this, the high-end software records more than 80 vehicle-specific data points – ten times per second. Push your limits lap after lap.
AMG Dynamic Select – change the character at the touch of a finger: From efficient and comfortable to suitable for track days, in the CLA 45 4Matic+ you can choose between seven drive modes.
The CLA 45 4Matic+ offers over 670 or 640km of WLTP range depending on the model – equivalent to the distance between Berlin and Vienna.
Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the CLA 45 4Matic+ charges at up to 330kW and manages the charging process from 10 to 80 percent in just 22 minutes.
In 10 minutes, enough power is supplied to provide a range of over 270km.
Whether as a saloon or Shooting Brake, the CLA 45 4Matic+ boasts the expressive AMG look.
A special highlight is the AMG specific front end, available with an optional illuminated grille.
At the rear, an AMG specific design with a diffuser-style look emphasises the car’s dynamic character.
Inside, too, AMG specific components such as Performance seats, an AMG steering wheel, exclusive trim elements and high-quality upholstery create a focused, driver-oriented racing atmosphere.
