KUALA LUMPUR: The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé has arrived, priced from RM1.9mil (estimated, on-the-road without insurance), and armed with the thunderous AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine assembled by hand in Affalterbach according to the "One Man, One Engine" principle.
With 585hp and 800Nm under the hood and a blistering 0–100kph sprint in just 3.2 seconds, and the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission, it offers unrelenting performance and agility.
"The AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé is the pinnacle of the modern sports car—combining motorsport precision with surprising everyday usability," said Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia vice president, marketing and sales Nadia Trimmel.
Its expanded 2+2 dimensional concept unlocks powerful proportions — a long wheelbase, short overhangs, and steeply raked windscreen exude athleticism.
Finished with the AMG Exterior Carbon Package, AMG Night package, and 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels, this coupé is built to turn heads.

The cockpit design, right down to the central display in the centre console, is focused on the driver.
There's a 11.9-inch multimedia touchscreen for the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system.
The AMG Performance seats with integrated head restraints and AMG badge combines ideal lateral support with a particularly dynamic appearance.
The steering wheel rim, flattened at the bottom is covered in Carbon Fibre/Microcut Microfibre.
A sensor mat is also included to detect "hands-on".
If the driver does not keep their hands on the steering wheel for a certain period, a warning cascade is started which, if the driver continues to be inactive, finally activates the emergency stop assistant.
A technical highlight in the aero development is the two-part, active air control system Airpanel.
The active aerodynamic element, which is hidden in the underbody in front of the engine, also contributes to the improved handling.
This carbon profile, which weighs around two kg, is an exclusive AMG development.
It reacts to the position of the AMG drive programmes and automatically lowers by around 40mm at a speed of 80kph.
This creates a Venturi effect, which sucks the car onto the road and reduces lift on the front axle.
The driver feels this positively in the steering as the AMG GT Coupé can be steered more precisely in bends with even more directional stability.

The AMG GT Coupé is equipped with fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
The intelligent system combines the advantages of different drive concepts with fully variable torque distribution on the front and rear axle.
Meanwhile, AMG Active Ride Control enhances driving dynamics by actively compensating for body roll using advanced electromechanical stabilisers on both axles.
The AMG GT Coupé also has an electronically controlled rear axle locking differential, which ensures excellent traction.
There's also active rear-axle steering. Depending on the speed, the rear wheels steer in either the opposite direction (up to 100kph) or in the same direction (faster than 100kph) as the front wheels.
