Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub opens in Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi, Klang

KLANG: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has reached a new milestone by establishing the first and only Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub in Southeast Asia.

The RM2.2mil purpose-built and dedicated facility at Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi Klang, is among the few selected centres that are authorised to service and maintain the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar.

Other Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hubs are in Germany, Switzerland, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Japan.

With only 275 units available in the world, the Mercedes-AMG ONE represents the absolute pinnacle of performance engineering and automotive craftsmanship.

Developed with technology derived directly from Formula 1, the Mercedes-AMG ONE transfers a full-fledged Formula 1 hybrid powertrain from the racetrack into a road-legal vehicle.

Its cutting-edge E PERFORMANCE hybrid drive combines a 1.6-litre V6 turbo engine with four electric motors to deliver a total system output of over 1,063hp and revs up to 11,000rpm.

Currently, the Hap Seng Star facility is receiving units from clients in China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore.

Working alongside the existing hub in Japan, the Malaysian facility leverages the nation's multi-modal connectivity and strategic logistics infrastructure to support customers across Southeast Asia.

The local facility also receives specialised servicing capabilities, factory-grade Affalterbach technical infrastructure, and direct coordination with Mercedes-AMG specialists including "flying doctors" who can be deployed on demand.

Its dedicated infrastructure includes specialised high-voltage tools and safety procedures, vehicle-specific diagnostic equipment, controlled vehicle storage and working conditions, and direct technical coordination with Mercedes-AMG specialists.

The facility’s Malaysia-based team of technicians has undergone specialised training and is certified by Mercedes-AMG, qualifying them to perform approved diagnostic, maintenance, and service procedures for the Mercedes-AMG ONE.

The combination of dedicated infrastructure and expertise allows the technical team to safeguard the vehicle’s performance, safety, and engineering integrity.

Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia CEO and president, and Mercedes-Benz Cars Southeast Asia head Martin Schulz said the extraordinary engineering of the Mercedes-AMG ONE demanded an equally specialised service ecosystem.

"Malaysia already serves as a strategic hub for Mercedes-Benz, with operations and expertise supporting the region and beyond.

"The establishing Southeast Asia’s first and only Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub adds a new dimension to this role, reinforcing our confidence in the country’s talent and capabilities while strengthening our commitment to owners across the wider Asia-Pacific region," he said.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia & SEA Customer Services & Network Development vice-president Edmin Naidoo said every procedure and specialised equipment are deployed to ensure that owners have complete confidence that their vehicles are in expert hands.

"We have even equipped soundproofing in the facility as noise levels can reach up to 120 decibels or an equivalent of a rock concert performance when the Mercedes-AMG ONE's engine is revved up to 11,000rpm during testing," he said.

Hap Seng Consolidated Automotive Division chief executive Lee Weng Yew said the appointment of the Bukit Tinggi centre as the Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub reflects the confidence placed in its certified technical capabilities, the commitment and readiness of the specialised team, and the longstanding partnership with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.
