The dual clutch transmission combines the comfort of a 7-speed automatic transmission with the driving dynamics of a manual transmission. The shift characteristics can be preset from fuel-saving to sporty via the "Economy", "Sport" and "Manual" transmission modes. When kickdown mode is used, the electronic controller skips individual gears instead of changing down through each individual gear to allow for faster sprints.

The Night Edition of the CLA 200 comes in Polar White, Cavansite Blue, Polar Silver, Cosmos Black and Mountain Grey while the GLA 200 Night Edition is available in Polar White, Cavansite Blue, Cosmos Black and Mountain Grey. Both feature black ARTICO leather interiors with white topstitching.

“The Night Edition of the Mercedes-Benz GLA and CLA are a unique combination of sporty AMG Line design touches and highlights in black, offering an edgy take on this pair from our premium compact car family," said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia vice-president for sales & marketing (passenger cars) Mark Raine.

"With the Night Edition, we add further individuality and attractiveness from the contrast of the black and white elements.”

Mercedes-Benz said its best-selling SUV — the GLC 200 and GLC 250 4MATIC — are now equipped with blind spot detection. The Blind Spot Assist system is a radar sensor technology to monitor the areas directly alongside and behind the vehicle.

The GLC 250 4MATIC will additionally be equipped with the Lane Keeping Assist, a safety feature which allows the steering wheel to vibrate to warn the driver if the vehicle leaves its lane unintentionally with the help of the camera on the inside of the windscreen, which monitors the road markings by evaluating the difference in contrast between the road surface and the markings.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s highlights in the second half of this year included closing the gap in its flagship range, the S-Class family. The rollouts spanned the S-Class limousine, S-Class Cabriolet, S-Class Coupé and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Another highlight was the recent launch of the Dream Cars collection, namely the CLS, E-Class Cabriolet, and the Mercedes-AMG GT C,further offering the passionate and discerning customers more options within the collection.

With four months to go before 2018 ends, Mercedes-Benz is expected to launch the latest C-Class and A-Class hatchback to wrap up the year on a high note.
