MG Cyberster to join EV car contingent at 68th Merdeka Day Parade

KUALA LUMPUR: The MG Cyberster all-electric roadster will be part of the EV car contingent led by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) at the upcoming 68th Merdeka Day Parade on Aug 31, 2025 in Putrajaya.

Adorned with a special MITI decal, the MG Cyberster will parade alongside other EV brands in a show of collective support for Malaysia’s electrification agenda and the government’s vision for sustainable mobility.

The Cyberster will be the only all-electric roadster in the contingent.

“Our participation in the Merdeka Day Parade is not only a proud moment for MG, but also a reflection of our support towards Malaysia’s ambition to accelerate EV adoption," said SAIC Motor Malaysia managing director Emory QiFeng.

"With its British heritage and bold new EV direction, the MG Cyberster is an icon of innovation and progress,” he added.
