KUALA LUMPUR: Michelin has appointed Florentin Odenwald as the new managing director for Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei effective July 1.Odenwald replaces Prichapakorn Dangrojana who has taken on a new role with the group in France.
Odenwald’s appointment reinforces Michelin’s commitment to long-term investment and innovation in Southeast Asia, especially in delivering sustainable mobility solutions and advancing its premium brand presence across the region.
Having a strong background in commercial strategy, Odenwald brings a global perspective shaped by years of experience across international markets.
Prior to this role, Odenwald served as executive vice-president of Global Automotive OE Sales, overseeing over 25 global customers and contributing as a key member of the Group’s Automotive Executive Committee.
Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in fostering brand collaborations, building global partnerships, driving technical innovation, and leading strategic growth with brands such as Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Volkswagen, Hyundai and Tesla.
In the new role, Odenwald will oversee Michelin’s strategic direction, operations and growth across the three Asean markets.
He will also focus on advancing innovation and enhancing customer and stakeholder relationships while continuing his service as part of Michelin’s regional leadership team for the Asia-Pacific region.
