KUALA LUMPUR: BMW and MINI dealer Millennium Welt today introduced its first MINI-badged charger in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Seremban.

It is located at the main entrance parking of d’Tempat Country Club. Catering to MINI Electric (aka MINI Cooper SE) owners, it features an 11kWh Wallbox powered by ChargeEV.

It is open daily to the public from 9am to 11pm, with a standard rate of RM5 for every 20 minutes of use.

Millennium Welt has so far delivered over 140 electrified BMW and MINI vehicles.

It said the new charger is expected to help encourage more people to shift to electromobility.

Among those present at the opening ceremony were Millennium Welt managing director Bryan Wong and Matrix Concepts Group general manager of corporate secretarial, governance and sustainability Carmen Loo. Matrix Concepts owns the club.

The latest Wallbox installation by Millennium Welt is part of BMW Group Malaysia’s strategy to develop the infrastructure needed for the charging of electric vehicles, together with local partners, dealers and key charging providers.

Over 670 charging facilities have been made available by BMW Group Malaysia for EV owners in the country thus far, with access to over 360 of these facilities provided through partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech.

The partnership with JomCharge also enables access to over 65 charging facilities, and Gentari with around 150 facilities.

Over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are also available at most authorised dealerships, as well as partnering venues across the country, with more to come.
