MANILA: The Mitsubishi Destinator three-row, mid-size SUV (sport utility vehicle) was recently launched in the Philippines.
“The Destinator combines the commanding presence and luxury of an SUV with the versatility and comfort of an MPV (multi-purpose vehicle),” said Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp (MMPC) president and CEO Ritsu Imaeda.
The seven-seater Destinator is manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (Bekasi Regency, West Java).
Since its launch in Indonesia in July 2025, the Destinator has collected 12,000 orders in four months.

The Destinator is powered by a 1.5-litre MIVEC turbo engine, producing 120kW (163ps) and maximum torque of 250Nm which is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Drivers can choose from five drive modes.
Designed for rainy roads, Wet mode provides high stability and reduces the risk of tire slippage, while Tarmac mode offers nimble, precise handling on winding paved roads and sharp responsiveness when pulling away from traffic jams.
Normal mode is well-balanced for everyday driving, Gravel mode reduces skidding and ensures reliable handling on unpaved roads, and Mud mode achieves powerful road handling even on muddy, rough terrain.
Mitsubishi Motors Corp says the Destinator will be introduced in 70 countries.
These include Asean markets such as Vietnam as well as in South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
Developed with the product concept “confidence booster for energetic families,” the SUV was named for empowering drivers and their families to pursue new destinations with confidence.
