Mitsubishi Xforce rolls out from Pekan assembly line

KUALA LUMPUR: The first of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia's (MMM) upcoming Xforce model has rolled off its mass-production assembly line at the Pekan plant.

Bookings for the new sports utility vehicle is scheduled to open sometime this week.

In conjunction with the milestone, MMM has also upgraded its Pekan manufacturing operations.

This includes the establishment of a new sub-assembly body shop and the installation of advanced equipment across the paint, outfitting, and tester lines.

MMM chief executive officer Takashi Sakamaki said the mass production of the Xforce represents the application of Mitsubishi Motors’ Japanese manufacturing philosophy at their Pekan plant.

"Built on precision, process discipline, and continuous improvement, these standards ensure that every Xforce produced here meets the same quality benchmarks as Mitsubishi vehicles manufactured anywhere in the world.

"Our priority is to deliver vehicles that embody Mitsubishi Motors’ highest global standards while giving customers confidence, reliability, and pride of ownership from the very first day,” Takashi added.

MMM aims to deliver the first 800 units of the Xforce within April, following comprehensive quality validation and production readiness checks.
