SHAH ALAM: Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (Emos), the wholly owned subsidiary of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), today announced the implementation of its two years with an unlimited mileage warranty programme for all Kawasaki and Modenas rebranded models from 250cc to the highest 1,000cc models that are registered from July 1 onwards.
The previous standard warranty was two years or 20,000km, whichever comes first.
With the newly revised warranty programme with unlimited mileage, owners can now enjoy longer rides to feel the performance of Kawasaki motorcycles.
The nationwide warranty programme will come as a factory standard which comprises:
> Kawasaki warrants each new part or accessory to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months from the original date of sale by an authorised Kawasaki dealer.
> The same terms and conditions apply to the new owner but the warranty expires in all cases after the specific period from the date of sale to the original purchaser.
> Kawasaki products perform best with regular maintenance and servicing, and each model has a maintenance schedule designed to keep operations at optimum performance levels.
As an additional benefit, the 24/7 roadside assist service will also be included in this new warranty programme.
The warranty will have the same current terms and conditions as per the standard manufacturer warranty and shall stay with the bike when sold or transferred to a new customer thus adding to the residual value.
Modenas chief executive officer Roslan Roskan said its users would be able to enjoy their motorcycles more freely and most importantly with peace of mind with the elimination of the mileage restriction.
He said the programme was also a testament to the quality of Modenas products.
Roslan added that owners should follow the service schedule so as not to void the warranty.
