PETALING JAYA: GoCar Malaysia, a leading on-demand mobility-as-a-service platform, has included some of the latest electric vehicles (EVs) to the GoCar Subs Electric line-up, with subscription options of weekly and monthly plans.

The expanded range of EVs and shorter-term subscription plans aim to make it easier and more affordable for Malaysian consumers to experience life with different EVs, in line with GoCar’s ongoing efforts to increase the accessibility and availability of electric vehicles (EVs) to the general public.

The GoCar Subs Electric fleet now comprises seven full-electric models – the Nissan Leaf, the new Renault Zoe, Hyundai Kona EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Great Wall Motors’ Ora Good Cat and even the MINI Electric and Tesla Model Y.

Through the shorter weekly and monthly subscription plans, consumers can try out a range of EV models currently retailing in Malaysia.

Subscription rates start from RM120 per day for the monthly plan and RM171 per day for the weekly plan.

The weekly and monthly subscription rates for GoCar Subs Electric are as follows:

Rates are calculated based on the respective subscription fee and mandatory Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

GoCar CEO Wong Hoe Mun said the company believed Malaysians are curious about EVs but many are apprehensive about having to use them as the primary mode of transportation.

“With our new weekly and monthly subscription options, we are calling more people to ‘Experience Electric’ with GoCar Subs.

“They can test a range of EVs in their daily commute or for short trips, assess the EV charging experience and discover if the EV lifestyle is for them,” said Wong.
