PETALING JAYA: BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has delivered more than 100 units of the all-new BYD Seal 6 within one week of the electric vehicle (EV)'s launch in the country.
This achievement highlighted the company’s efficient vehicle handover and customer readiness.
BYD showrooms across the Peninsular and East Malaysia received the Seal 6 within one week for deliveries to its first batch of customers.
With nationwide deliveries completed, Malaysians can now see, touch and test drive the C-segment electric sedan and experience its new benchmark for smooth and responsive drive.
The Seal 6, which sets a new benchmark in smooth and responsive performance for EVs, is available in Arctic White, Harbour Grey and Misty Blue.
The EV is also gets six best-in-class features:
> First-in-BYD to be equipped with dual ball-joint MacPherson struts and rear multi-link suspension,
> Rear-wheel Drive (RWD) layout that is unique in its segment, delivering a premium sporty feel,
> Largest in class of C-segment sedan in Malaysia,
> Improved handling arising from a more balanced weight distribution with tight turning radius of 5.5 metres,
> 24 smart storage compartments and 525 litres of combined cargo capacity for daily convenience, and
> A motor output of 160kW with 330Nm of torque to complete the 0-100kph sprint in 7.5 seconds and has three driving modes.
BYD Sime Motors managing director Adeline Lew said Malaysia is the first international market to receive the Seal 6.
She said the milestone did not not only marked the debut of a dynamic new vehicle but also reflected the company's commitment to meeting customers’ needs with professionalism and passion.
"We commend the seamless coordination by the team that ensured the Seal 6 reached every corner of the country without delay. For us, this is about consistently building trust while making electric mobility more accessible for Malaysians," she said.
The company will also increase its oulets from 37 to 50 units by next year, emphasising its long-term commitment to driving EV adoption in Malaysia.
Available is in two variants, the entry Dynamic is priced at RM100,000 and the Premium at RM115,800.
Complimentary items at launch include a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) Adapter and a Type 2 charging cable with 3-pin plug.
The Seal 6 comes with a vehicle warranty of 6 years/150,000km, and a drive unit and high-voltage blade battery covertage of 8 years/160,000km.
The first 800 customers will also get an exclusive launch package worth RM6,288.
The buyers of the Dynamic variant will get free wall charger worth RM3,288.
For the customers of the Premium variant who are living on landed properties, they will get a free wall charger worth RM3,288 and an exclusive launch rebate of RM3,000.
Meanwhile, Premium variant customers who are living on high-rises will receive an exclusive launch rebate of RM1,000 and a Sime Platinum 4 + package by Power Up, a 12-month doorstep charging programme worth RM5,000.
The package consists of a 4x mobile doorstep charging, 2x car handwash, vacuum, tyre shine per month along with a 2x free EV rescue service per year at selected areas only.
