PETALING JAYA: Motoplex Petaling Jaya has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vespa Club Malaysia (VCM) towards building a well informed and dynamic Vespa community in Malaysia.

VCM is the only registered Vespa club with the Registrar of Societies in Malaysia and exclusively affiliated with Vespa World Club.

Motoplex Petaling Jaya is the home for Piaggio two-wheel brands like Piaggio, Vespa, Moto Guzzi and Aprilia.

Its dealer principal Idon Pang said the MoU would provide opportunities for both parties to work together as well as to further grow the Vespa community.

The partnership will also make Motoplex Petaling Jaya as the club's second official home besides VCM’s present office in Danau Kota, Kuala Lumpur.

“Through this collaboration, we will be able to encourage the Vespa owners and enthusiasts to engage in more Vespa activities.

"The purpose of these activities is to educate and build camaraderie among likeminded Vespa owners” said VCM chairman Mohd Haniff Mohd Amin.

The MOU was signed by Pang representing Motoplex Petaling Jaya and Mohd Haniff representing VCM.

Also present at the event was Didi Resources general manager Juan Chow Wee. Didi Resources is official distributor of the Vespa brand in Malaysia.

Under the MoU, VCM members are entitled to a 10% discount on selected Vespa merchandise and aftersales service.

Motoplex PJ will pay 50% of the VCM membership registration fees when the Vespa is purchased at Motorplex PJ.

VCM membership fee is RM130.

That’s not all, members can use the facilities and the space in Motoplex PJ via VCM for events, trainings and meetings at no cost.
