Motormaniac Drift Meet Vol.2 drew in 10,000 attendees

KUALA LUMPUR: Motormaniac's Drift Meet Vol. 2 event over the past weekend was deemed a massive success.

The event that was held at Motormaniac's HQ in TTDI Jaya, Shah Alam was attended by 10,000 visitors.

Motormaniac founder Wan Mikhail Faizi said the achievement further solidifies the company's position as a mover in the modern automotive community that brings together both drift culture and the automotive lifestyle.

He adds that the achievement has spurred Motormaniac to further discussions with APD Serdang to organize large drift championships that would be approved by the Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM).

"We want to build a path for professional drifters in Malaysia. It is time that the drift scene in Malaysia is taken to the next level,” said Mikhail.

The Motormaniac's Drift Meet Vol. 2 event itself saw 22 cars participating in various segments.

One of the highlight value of the event is allowing free participation for drifters.

"Cost of the activity is high in Malaysia. We want to open a platform for everyone where they don't have to pay to be part of it. This would allow the scene to grow," Mikhail explained.
