KUALA LUMPUR: Motul Malaysia has upgraded its passenger car motor oil range – Motul H-Tech 100 Plus, Multipower Plus, and Multigrade Plus — to API SQ, accompanied by refreshed packaging across the range.

Built on Motul's latest lubricant technology developments, the upgraded formulations are engineered to support the performance and protection requirements of today's petrol engines.
Compared with API SP, API SQ introduces more stringent requirements for engine wear protection, fuel economy retention, engine cleanliness, timing chain wear protection, oxidation control, and protection against Low-Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI).
In addition, the upgraded low viscosity range complies with the latest ILSAC GF-7A/B industry standards, ensuring compatibility with current engine requirements while supporting long-term reliability, fuel economy, and overall engine performance.
Also, the refreshed packaging feature clearer product information, including viscosity grade, API SQ and ILSAC GF-7A/B certifications, key product benefits, application details, and an Oil Selector QR Code.
