KUALA LUMPUR: After making its local appearance several weeks ago, the all-electric Kia EV9 sports utility vehicle (SUV) is officially launched at The Exchange TRX here.
Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Kia brand in Malaysia, is offering the EV9 in GT-Line trim and two variants of seven-seater and six-seater.
The seven-seater comes with on-the-road without insurance price (Peninsular Malaysia, private registration) of RM369,668 while the six-seater costs RM374,668.
Fully-imported from South Korea, the EV9 comes with 5 Years Manufacturer Warranty or 150,000km and 8 years EV battery warranty or 160,000km whichever comes first.
The EV9 is available for booking at all Kia showrooms and can also be scheduled for a test drive at www.kia.com/my.

Built on Kia’s cutting-edge Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9 is the second Kia model based on this platform and the first to feature fourth-generation battery technology designed for improved energy density.
The EV9’s all-wheel drive system featuring dual electric motors delivers 380hp and 700Nm of torque for a thrilling driving experience.
It high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack of 99.8kWh allows a driving range up to 505km.
The battery pack can be charged from 0-100% in 10 hours 30 minutes with AC 11kW, and from 10%-80% in 24 minutes with DC 350kW.
