MUNICH/CANNES: The BMW XM Mystique Allure debuted at the 77th Cannes Film Festival last week.
This unique car is based on BMW M GmbH's first high-performance sports car powered by the M Hybrid drive system.
It blends progressive luxury with extravagant design and was inspired by British supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The body colour was based on Naomi’s favourite colour, featuring a saturated ultramarine shade, accentuated by a matte finish.
The car features exclusive materials from haute couture and a unique soundtrack by film score composer Hans Zimmer.
The XM Mystique Allure is part of the ongoing collaboration between BMW and Naomi, which began with last year's "Dare to be You" campaign for the XM.
At Cannes, Naomi presented the car to select guests and then drove it to the red carpet outside the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.
For the third year in a row, BMW served as the "Official Automotive Partner" of the film festival.
BMW provided an exclusive shuttle service with more than 200 vehicles, including the all-electric i7, iX, and i5, and the plug-in hybrid XM, offering locally emission-free premium mobility to event participants and guests.
The XM Mystique Allure is the first BMW vehicle designed with high-fashion materials.
Its exterior features a deeply saturated ultramarine shade with a lustrous matte finish, and its interior is covered in purple velvet.
The car's design includes rich velvet and shimmering metallic sequins, creating a visual richness that extends from the exterior to the interior.
The XM is the first standalone high-performance car from M since the M1.
It combines dynamic power with innovative luxury and an extravagant design.
The car's exterior features include two-piece split headlight units, Iconic Glow contour lighting for the kidney grille, and vertically stacked hexagonal exhaust tailpipes.
Equipped with the M Hybrid system, the XM is the first high-performance M car with an electrified drive system. It makes 480kW/653hp and a torque of 800Nm.
For those who want more, BMW offers the XM Label Red, with a maximum output of 550kW/748hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful series-produced, road-legal car produced by M.
