New Aprilia SR GT scooter and Tuareg 660 adventure touring unveiled


KUALA LUMPUR: Didi Group, the sole distributor for Aprilia bikes in Malaysia, recently launched the 2022 Aprilia SR GT and Aprilia Tuareg 660.

The Aprilia SR GT comes the latest generation i-get 174cc single-cylinder engine featuring Start & Stop system, and offering 17.4hp at 8,500rpm and 16.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.

With a wet weight of 148kg, the scooter also has a 9-litre fuel tank that offers about 350km of riding range.

It also gets a 25-litre under-seat compartment that is big enough to store a full-face helmet.

Available colours are Aprilia Black, Street Grey and Infinity Blue, while the Sport version has Street Gold, Iridium Grey and Red Raceway matte colour schemes

Features include full LED lights, LCD instrumentation, Aprilia MIA connectivity system (optional) and suspended wide
windscreen.

The front suspension is a Showa fork (122mm travel) while the rear comes with two double-acting Showa shock absorbers with five-position adjustable pre-load (102mm travel).

The introductory selling price for SR GT 200 is RM19,900 and SR GT 200 (Sport) is RM20,900 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration).

Meanwhile, the Tuareg 660 is an adventure touring motorcycle weighing at 187kg (dry weight) with a 18-litre fuel capacity.

The 659cc powerplant comes with Aprilia forward-facing twin-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled.

The engine churns out 80hp at 9,250 rpm and 70Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

It is fitted with APRC Suite that includes ATC (traction control), AEB (engine brake) AEM (engine maps), ACC (cruise control), four riding modes (Urban, Explore, Offroad and Individual), Aprilia Quick Shift (AQS) System, Brembo brakes (front 300mm double discs and rear 260mm disc), Kayaba fork (43mm, 240mm travel) and Kayaba monoshocks (240mm travel).

Available colours are Martian Red, Acid Gold and Indaco Tagelmust.

The adventure touring bike is priced at RM75,900 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration) as as an introductory offer.
