KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad Malaysia launched today its latest premium mid-sized scooters – the new C 400 X and the C 400 GT.
The refreshed first-generation models are priced at RM47,500 for the C 400 X and RM53,500 for the C 400 GT. These prices include a three-year warranty and roadside assistance programmes.
Both scooters are equipped with a single-cylinder petrol engine that produces 25kW (34hp) at 7,500rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 35Nm at 5,750rpm.
Paired with a continuously variable CVT and supported by a high-rigidity powerset swing arm, the engine ensures smooth, responsive performance ideally suited to both urban commuting and longer touring endeavours.

Both models come as standard with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, which prevents wheel lock-up even when braking at lean angles and is enhanced by Dynamic Brake Control, which moderates throttle input during deceleration to reduce braking distances and maintain vehicle stability.
Additional electronic safety features include Dynamic Traction Control and Engine Drag Torque Control, which work together to safeguard against instability during acceleration in low-grip conditions or abrupt throttle reductions.
Connectivity has been significantly upgraded. The C 400 X comes with a 6.5-inch TFT display linked to the BMW Motorrad Connected app, while the C 400 GT boasts a larger 10.25-inch TFT display as part of its Connectivity Pro package. These displays offer split-screen functionality and map navigation, ensuring riders can access comprehensive, real-time information during their journeys.
In terms of practicality, the C 400 X now gains an extra 3 litres of under-seat storage to make it 34l, while the C 400 GT features up to 12 litres of additional storage, including front compartments.
Both scooters are fitted with a standard luggage grid and offer the option of a 43.5-litre top case – an upgrade that not only increases storage volume but also doubles the payload capacity from 5kg to 10kg. The top case is further enhanced with interior lighting and a USB charging port.
Stylistically, the C 400 X is available in a "Rugged" variant with a bold matte metallic finish, red-accented seats and rims, and off-road styled tyres, while the C 400 GT is offered in an "Exclusive" variant featuring a Diamond White metallic finish with golden rims and refined detailing.
BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia offers financing plans with monthly payments starting from RM668 and RM748 respectively, based on a 90% loan over a seven-year tenure.
