CYBERJAYA: BMW Group AG has appointed Benjamin Nagel as the new managing director and chief executive officer of BMW Group Malaysia effective Jan 1.

In a statement, the company said Nagel's appointment marked a new chapter in the company's leadership as he takes the reins from Hans de Visser who will take on a new role away from the premium automaker.

With over 20 years of remarkable experience within the BMW Group for the brands BMW and MINI,
Nagel is set to bring a wealth of expertise and innovation to his new role.

His most recent position was the Head of Sales for BMW Group South Africa since 2020, which was preceded by his role at BMW AG in Berlin as Head of Sales in 2018.

Nagel exhibited adept leadership in spearheading pioneering initiatives that continue to lead the premium automaker to new heights.
