New boss for Isuzu Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: Isuzu Malaysia's newly appointed chief executive officer Tomoyuki Yamaguchi will strengthen the brand's dealership network and optimise its parts inventory to ensure greater ownership experience.

Yamaguchi assumed his new role on April 24 and replaced Shunsuke Okazoe who has returned to Japan to take up the post of vice-president in Isuzu Motors' Japan Sales Division.

Yamaguchi, who graduated from Toyo University, joined Isuzu Motors in 1997 and began his career assigned to the International Operations Department handling such markets as Russia and Ukraine.

He remained involved in CIS countries and various South-West Asian markets for over a decade before being seconded to reinvigorate the brand's commercial vehicle business in South Africa.

Yamaguchi said Isuzu Malaysia remains a model of excellence in the global perspective.

"The operations here have established a base of loyal customers who recognise the strengths and capabilities of Isuzu vehicles. This augurs well for the establishment of life-long customers of the brand.

"However, we need to continuously strive to make every customer experience a positive one. I hope to work with the team and our dealers to bring customer satisfaction to the next level," said Yamaguchi.

He also aims to create a wider spectrum of in-house services offered by the dealerships to ensure customers get quality-assured services.
