Powered by the BYD Blade battery with a capacity of 82.56kWh, the rear wheel-drive Premium variant promises a range of 650km (NEDC), while the all-wheel drive Performance delivers a range of 580km.

The single-motor Premium delivers 230KW/308hp and 360Nm of torque for a 0-100kph sprint of 5.9 seconds while the dual motor Performance cranks out a system output of 390kW/523hp and 670Nm of torque for a 0-100kph acceleration of 3.8 seconds.
Both variants feature updated design elements such as redesigned 19-inch alloy rims, an electric sunshade for the panoramic sunroof, and seamless keyless access via BYD Digital Key (NFC and Bluetooth).

The Performance variant can be readily identified by its red brake callipers and also comes fitted with the brand's DiSus-C Intelligent Damping Body Control, compared to the Premium's Frequency Selective Damping absorbers.
Meanwhile, the company's new 3,360 sq m BYD Balakong 3S centre, operated by Wing Hin Ventures, has three levels and is lauded as the largest centre in the country.

The opening of the new 3S centre brings the total number of BYD outlets to 36 nationwide.
In terms of amenities, the new centre boasts a 1,514 sq m after-sales area, dedicated office space, two meeting rooms for added privacy and a vehicle delivery room as well as 10 service bays, among others.

Meanwhile, BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division general manager Liu Xueliang disclosed that the company would establish a new CKD (local assembly) facility in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
The CKD site is said to cover a 600,000 sq m area and is expected to come online in 2026.

Liu said Malaysia has always been one of BYD's most important markets in Southeast Asia.
"The new BYD Seal marks a new chapter in our journey here. With the strong support of Sime Motors, we are confident in deepening our roots in Malaysia and bringing world-class EV technology closer to local customers," said Liu.
Liu explained that it is not only about delivering innovative products, but also about investing in the future of Malaysia's EV ecosystem from local assembly, to talent development, and electric mobility.

"Together, we look forward to accelerating Malaysia's transition towards a greener and smarter transportation future, with BYD standing as a long-term partner to the nation," said Liu.
"Today's launch builds on the success of the BYD Seal which was Malaysia's best-selling electric sedan in 2024. With the updated model, we are confident it will continue to attract a wide range of Malaysian customers with its enhanced features," said Sime Motors, Southeast Asia managing director Jeffrey Gan.

Gan added that together with the CKD production plan, this further reinforces BYD's position as the number one BEV (battery electric vehicle) brand in Malaysia.
"Backed by strong after-sales commitment and the rapid expansion of our outlets nationwide, we remain dedicated to driving the growth of electric mobility across Malaysia," he concluded.
