New Caltex Havoline engine oil for hybrids

KUALA LUMPUR: The new Caltex Havoline Fully Synthetic Hybrid SAE 0W-20 engine oil is formulated for hybrid engines, and maximises performance and ensures smooth operation.

In a statement, Caltex Havoline, marketed by Caltex Malaysia, said the new oil provides enhanced protection and engine longevity.

Hybrid engines are typically more prone to issues such as low temperature sludge, corrosion, and wear due to their lower engine temperatures.

Caltex Havoline Hybrid prevents those complications through its proprietary formulation.

The company said that with strong water and fuel dilution performance and excellent rust and corrosion protection, Caltex Havoline Hybrid is the smart choice for hybrid engine cars.

The new oil's formulation forms strong emulsion in the presence of water, resulting in smoother oil flow.

It also provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion of engine parts in the presence of water and fuel contamination.

With engine oil, a coating of oil forms a barrier between components to protect them and prevent corrosion, resulting in superior engine performance.

The new oil's chemistry minimises the formation of sludge and varnish deposit on the surface of engine parts in hybrid vehicles’ low temperature environment, resulting in cleaner engines.
