KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia today released the pricing of the new 520i.
The locally assembled model is now available at all authorised BMW dealerships nationwide, priced at RM332,800 (on the road, without insurance).
The optional 5-year extended warranty and service package tacks on RM26,900 to raise the price to RM359,700.
The G60 520i was previewed last month.
In its latest form, it now runs on new 19-inch aerodynamic wheels 934 in bicolour grey.
A flattened bottom section, a first for the 5 Series, adds a sporty touch to the steering wheel.
Other notable features include a wireless charging tray, the driver-oriented BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display, and an illuminated BMW Interaction Bar that simplifies control of the air conditioning and other functions.
The iDrive Controller and other elements in the centre console control panel have been redesigned.
The 520i is powered by a B48 4-cylinder engine, now in 48V mild hybrid form, a technology previously seen in the X7.
This powertrain delivers 153 kW/208hp and a torque of 330Nm – enabling the 520i to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 7.5 seconds to a top speed of 230kph.
BMW said the Driving Assistant Plus in the 520i elevates driving safety and convenience with its comprehensive suite of camera- and radar-based driver assistance systems, including the Active Cruise Control, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, as well as the Lane Departure Warning system.
Exterior colours include Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Phytonic Blue Metallic, and Cape York Green Metallic.
Upholstery is offered in two luxurious options, the Veganza Perforated with Quilted Black and the Veganza Perforated with Quilted Espresso Brown.
