GEORGE TOWN: The new Honda Wave 125i has been launched in Malaysia on Thursday, promising a more comfortable riding experience and improved fuel efficiency.

It is available in two variants: one with disc brake in front and the other with disc brakes on both wheels, priced at RM6,263.54 and RM6,549.74 respectively (with GST but excluding road tax, insurance and registration.) The model also comes with a two year or 20,000km manufacturing warranty plus one year or 10,000 km extended warranty for engine, whichever comes first.

The front of the Wave 125i has been revised to achieve a "haughty" look, while the rear light has been remoulded to increase rider visibility. The panel meter is arranged in such a way that it is readable under bright sunlight and at night. It also has a large seat for better rider comfort.

The Wave 125i is certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV). The underbone machine is equipped with a four stroke-air cooled 124.9cc engine with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-Fi) to enhance fuel consumption. With the largest fuel tank in its class at 5.4-litres, it enables the rider to travel over 300km before refuelling.

The Wave 125i can accommodate a full faced helmet and is the only kapcai in the market with a built-in 18-litre U-Box.

The motorcycle comes in a choice of red, blue and silver colour.
